Still learning the ropes. I LOVE this community! If you didn't know, I'm the artist's wife. He's been so shy about trying to get his art out in the world, so I figured out ways how, and over the course of our 6-year marriage, he said I could this past December.
The people on Deviant are great! so many different kinds of art, so many unique visions. Thanks for having us and for your support.
Now I'm going to learn some more ropes.

Made a Core Account
Lisa here again. Made a Core account. Had to try it out! I changed the print options, but you can buy most of the art posted on our etsy shop for $13 shipped in the US. We print them on 11x8.5' acid-free matte fine part paper with a thin border.

Stop by, say hi!
Still loving everything I'm seeing here. Going to scan in New stuff hopefully tonight. My favorites folder is expansive. I wish I knew how to make different folders for favorites. I see other people do it, I haven't figured it out yet!

Devious Journal Entry
Wrote this a while back and whoops! Replied to my own journal entry.
I have spent hours and hours on DeviantArt. It is crack-cocain. I think Mikie will really dig doing this himself once I explain to him what this site is like. When I asked hiim where people post and sell original art, he sighed, rolled his eyes, and said, "Deviant Art."
I said, "Why? What's wrong with it? Why don't we give it a try?"
He shook his head. "My stuff is so shitty compared to all that art. I mean, that is great art."
No, this isn't a place to sell art. This is a place to be an artist. Sometimes with other artists. You can be yourself. And it makes your best se

No, this isn't a place to sell art. This is a place to be an artist. Sometimes with other artists. You can be yourself. And it makes your best self want to come out. I've got to convince him to check this out again. He looks at art on his iPad all the time. I've seen him spend hours lying in bed flipping through art on Deviant Art. He made an account. Couldn't do it. But still looks at it now.
I'm a writer and a jeweler. What I love about making jewelry is the rocks. It really is all about the rocks. I like natural rocks. I want to play with them and make them something. So I landed on making and selling for low-profit sterling silver natural gemstone jewelry. I love it so much because I get rocks in the mail every few days.
I can spend 45 minutes in the middle of the day when I should be doing something else looking at rocks on Etsy and eBay. I'm really into the rockhound FaceBook pages, where I do most selling, and hell, 45 minutes. I'm lying. It could be 4 hours. I'll look at rocks. Google about the rock. If one stands out and all I have is $4, I'll get on Ebay and look for it in Jaipur, India.
Mikie is like that with art--all arts. He's a fabulous musician, too, and we have fun writing together. I play, too. Making visual art seems to be the art he enjoys the best, and looking at it, putting it all over the house. Getting new, moving old. Nothing gets thrown away, ever. He also loves movies, and sometimes will almost have himself talked into doing a movie review and arts topics YouTube channel, but he'll psych himself out.
Anyway, I'm the demanding woman of the house, I will insist he makes a journal entry or a scribble sometime tomorrow. He probably won't, but he might...and if not tomorrow, I'm good at nagging. Half my family is Irish.
Thanks for reading my ramblings.
